About the PPG:
SPPG was established in September 2015 and membership is open to all patients registered at the Practice.
We will be working with the practice to help them develop services and to participate in specific areas of work such as the Annual Patient satisfaction survey.
We are affiliated to the National Association of Patient Participation [NAPP] and members of the SPPG can access the members’ pages of NAPP.
We are linked to the local Clinical Commissioning Group, West Sussex, and aim to have representatives at any event they hold.
The Committee will hold at least 6 meetings each year and currently aims to meet at 6 weekly intervals. One of the GPs and the Practice Manager attend meetings by standing invitation. Please read our constitution to find out more about the group: Strand PPG Constitution 07 November 2019.
We need new members to make sure that we are a representative sample of the patients that are registered at this practice; we are particularly interested in reaching out to groups of patients which are, currently under-represented: young parents, working age patients and patients from minority ethnic groups.
We are interested to hear from patients who may not wish to attend meetings but who wish to participate in giving their views through a virtual PPG.

What is the Virtual PPG?
Our Virtual PPG is for those patients who don’t want to attend meetings but would still like to receive relevant information and newsletters to keep up to date with news and the services offered. We need new members to make sure we are a representative sample of the patients registered at the practice. At the moment there are only around 200 patients in this group. We are particularly interested in reaching out to groups who are currently under represented: young parents, working age patients and patients from minority ethnic groups.
How do I join?
There are no membership requirements, simply you must be a registered patient at the practice. If you would like to join please complete the form below.
