We have had a few changes and innovations in our systems at the Strand recently, and we feel it is important to keep our patients updated on this so they can understand how best to access our services. Please see below for what we are currently introducing in the surgery, and how best to use it:
E-Consult:
You may have noticed that we have started using E-Consult in the surgery. We have utilised this as a handy online tool for patients to use with non-urgent medical queries and concerns. You can access this form on the homepage of our website.
We are using the E-Consult when the duty doctor triage list becomes full, and therefore we go to urgent appointments only. At this stage, we will ask patients to fill out an E-Consult if their concern is non-urgent and they are able to access the internet. These patients will recieve an SMS message to confirm that we have recieved their form, and a member of staff will call them back the following day. The E-Consult is available to all patients from 12:00 to 18.30, and patients are free to use it during these times so they do not have to wait on the telephone.
Health Kiosk:
We have a new health kiosk in our waiting room, which is a great piece of equipment which allows patients to complete a variety of health checks without the need to see a clinician. Once you have logged in to the screen with your patient details, all readings will be sent directly to your medical record.
