Such certification is NON-NHS work, hence this is private practice only.
The LMC (Local Medical Council) advises such assessments to be avoided in general practice as we do not have the specialist knowledge to undertake this.
This would include: fitness to complete charity events such as parachuting, marathons, as well as fitness to climb and fitness to dive.
If you require assistance, please contact the event organiser who will be able to point you in the direction of an accredited private specialist assessors.
