We have had a few changes and innovations in our systems at the Strand recently, and we feel it is important to keep our patients updated on this so they can understand how best to access our services. Please see below for what we are currently introducing in the surgery, and how best to use it:

Health Kiosk:

We have a new health kiosk in our waiting room, which is a great piece of equipment which allows patients to complete a variety of health checks without the need to see a clinician. Once you have logged in to the screen with your patient details, all readings will be sent directly to your medical record.

The health kiosk can be used to complete the following:

• General health check
• New patient health check
• Asthma review
• Diabetes review
• COPD review
• Heart disease review
• Oral contraception review
• Physical activity assessment
• Anxiety and depression scale
• Anxiety review (GAD-7)
• Blood pressure screening
• Dementia carers review
• Postnatal assessment
• Arthritis review
• Menopause assessment
